Classic Italian food in Warsaw’s Old Town.
Italian restaurants are plentiful in Warsaw but near the Royal Castle is a particularly charming restaurant names after the famous 1960s Federico Fellini movie, 'La Dolce Vita'.
From the outside the building is simply decorated but inside the restaurant combines modernity with an old-fashioned style. Striking images from the movie hang on the walls alongside traditional attractive landscape images of Italy. The restaurant is brightly lit and decorated with stately furniture that adds a touch of class to the interior.
The menu contains traditional Italian favorites which have been well-prepared by experienced chefs. Focaccia, bruschetta and salmon tartar are some of the cold starters while hot starters include grilled mixed vegetables and fried mixed seafood. Spaghetti carbonara with olive oil, garlic and chili, gnocchi filled with goat's cheese and truffles are some of the pasta dishes. For the main course you can try the grilled chicken breast served with creamed spinach, gorgonzola cheese, potatoes and rocket salad or grilled salmon glazed with balsamic vinegar, honey and red onion, served with gnocchi or green puree peas.
The extensive pizza menu includes margherita, vegetarian, pizza with mozzarella, tomato sauce, ham, mushrooms and aubergine to name but a few. Deserts include tiramisu, crème brulee and apple strudel served warm with whipped cream and ice cream. Children are taken care of with a special menu for them.
Italian coffee is perfect after a good meal. At La Dolce Vita, you there is Italian or Polish beer. For wine lovers there is a rich wine menu to choose from to accompany your meal. In the summer months there is outdoor seating where you can enjoy the wonderful view of Castle Square (Plac Zamkowy) in the heart of the Old Town in Warsaw. Bookings available for groups and parties.
