Situated in the heart of central Warsaw at the Chmielna street, Gruzja Restaurant was launched as a trial of bringing an authentic taste of Georgian food. The owners coming from the Caucasus have been mastering their skills in the catering industry for years when, eventually, settling down in Poland, they decided to start up their own establishment. The idea behind was to create the spot where guests can experience not only special tastes and aromas of outstanding traditional dishes, but also boundless hospitality the Caucasus people are famous for.
A visit to this restaurant is like a travel to a world of outstanding aromas and flavours: those, which make Georgian cuisine so unique. The team of Caucasian cooks works on the original tastes of the served dishes to the highest of standards. With such captivating aromas, richness and distinctiveness of tastes, their dishes can be considered as works of art. Georgian cuisine uses top quality freshest produce and, what is important, among obligatory ingredients there are nuts, garlic, oil, vinegar, and a wealth of aromatic herbs, vegetables and fruit.That is why, Georgian dishes prove to be that healthy.
What is on the menu? An explosion of flavour may start with the famous eggplant rolls with nuts, kotrana, various pkhali , lobio , or a number of aromatic soups or salads. All this can be followed by mouth-watering main courses including various traditional meat or vegetable dishes such as khinkali, khachapuri or a range of succulent shashliks or kebabs, accompanied with e.g. in-house freshly baked lavash. This restaurant does not allow forgetting the fact that Georgia is well-known as the world's oldest wine-producing country, offering the extensive wine list of the best of its wines.
